I'm experiencing issues with dropped oil pressure, however I have no burning of oil. I've switched to a aftermarket oil pressure gauge and notice the same in drop. Also, my engine has developed a "whine" noise.
Now, this noise is not there after an oil change but comes back either hrs later or the following day. During use, the whine is minimal but when stopped for a period of 2-5 mins, it will start to whine really loud. Also, whenver i shut the engine down, the whine stops and it lets out air that makes it sound like a vaccum leak. High-pitched sound.
Anyone experience this? Wondering if this is signs of a bad oil pump?
