Bad Starter?

Ok, I got a little problem that I ran into this past weekend. I was driving my mustang(ref. sig) this weekend and it started no problem. I had just relocated the battery and everything was working fine, but then that evening I tried to start her up and nothing, the starter was not turning nothing was happening, except i could hear what I think is the fuel pump turning on.

Anyway i checked the the battery voltage and it read 12.93, so I charged it up and it was reading 14.10, yet it still does the same thing. Also when I have have the key turned all the way the check engine light comes on.

I was wondering if the problem that I am having is related to a bad starter or if it is something else that I should look at. The battery is also grounded properly, and every seems perfectly fine, except it won't crank.

That is where the positive battery terminal is connected in the engine bay, right?

I checked all of the connections(battery ground, battery positive to solenoid, solenoid to starter, and ground on the block) and everything looked fine. I tightened everything and it would still not start, so i crawled under the car, found the starter, gave it a couple knocks with a piece of wood, and after that the car started fine. I guess the problem is the starter after all. Thanks for your help.
