That's really wicked and all, but there's always something that erks me about seeing a classic like that "bastardized" with tubbing, sheet metal interiors, and a wheelie bar. Though it is really the baddest Mustang ever!

It's a race car, in show condition.
Nothing really special.
Yeah it's fast, but so are the other bazillion race cars out there.
And the technology on it, is nothing new, guys have been running similar setups for years now.

When i opened this post i would of much rather seen a street car.

to still be pulling the wheels at 230mph is sick. the suspension/chassis on this thing must be phenomenal, since the front tires are maybe on the ground for .3 seconds of the whole 1/4 mile run. and its a gorgeous car. most sub 7-sec. cars are covered in 500 stickers from sponsors, and in fluorescent yellow paint. if you search, you'll see more than a couple vids of this car at the track. it gets driven. if this car doesn't impress you, what does? post it up.....

My buddy has a similar setup on his notch, except it runs on drag radials and has gone 7.40's with a minimum weight of about 3300lbs. So seeing this type of car is nothing new to me.
Race cars just don't impress me anymore.
More impressive these days are low mileage unmolested cars.

Yeah it's nice without the stickers, but, the baddest mustang ever, should be an all around car, drag strip, road track, and most importantly the street, and should be able to have a passenger in the car.

Yeah i agree, it's really badass and all but personally if i can't drive it on the street then i have no reason to own it.

i'd love to see the vid. i'm willing to bet he didn't cross the line on his wheelie bars though....

i'm not saying it's 'the best mustang ever'. i agree that a track-only car is pointless to me and my lifestyle. i also prefer street legal cars, and have seen hundreds that i would rather have than this one. My point was i have never seen a car pull the wheels for the ENTIRE 1/4 mile. it trapped at 230 with the front wheels in the air. That is sick. BAD azz. hence, baddest mustang ever? which by the way was not a statement, i posed it as a question to begin with. i've just never seen another mustang pull that hard. if anyone has vids of something similar, i'd love to see 'em though!
