Badge removal

The fenders and the oval on the right side of the trunk lid have holes. The "GT" on the trunk does not. No easy cover up unless you replace the badges with something else. Otherwise, you'd have to have a body shop fill and paint the panels.

I did this on my 99 gt. I filled the holes with some plugs I found at a local hardware store, my car is black and fortunately I found some black plugs. I really dig the clean look of it.

I had my car debadged when I got the body kit put on. I just got it back last Friday. The body shop filled the holes and repainted the entire car (it had been in an accident, so I was getting this work done anyway).

I say you leave the badges on. Since you have a 99Gt like i did, i know you don't have GT badges on the sides. I loved having those cuz people thought i was a V6....until the heard the exhuast and saw the tailights. But its your car and if you debadge it im sure itll look very clean

Why do people want to take off the GT badges from their cars??? I don't get it, if I paid extra for the v8 model out of my hard-earned money I want everyone to know what it is (from EVERY angle)
THe 99gt's don't say "GT" on the side. They have the regular 35th anniversary badges, which the 99 V6's got also and alot of people mistake them for sixer badges all the time. 2000+ GT's got the newer side badges. Not having a hood scoop didn't help either.

Yea, hood scoop helps and so do 17's. Luckily, my come didn't come with either of the 2  . This is how my car looked when i got her: PURE V6/SLEEPER look hehe.
