baffle on lower intake

anyone know how to take one off? I am going to bead blast my intake and dont want debris caught behind it.

ok lets up the ante. if I removed the shield/baffle altogether and relocated the PCV to the valve cover where in all honesty it should be, would I have problems with the oil being sucked into the intake?

just grind the rivet heads off and drill and tap the holes later to bolt it on.

NOOOOOOOOOO - the rivets arte hardened!!!!! You don't have bits to get through them!!!

use a small chisel and work around the head - they will back out far enough to grab with vise grips and finish twisting out. Then the holes are prefect - just run a 1/4-20 tap down them and use blue loc-tite on the bolts.

Tom, have you seen anyone remove the baffle altogther and relocate the PVC? would I have issues of oil in the intake if I did this?
