a stock 5.0 that is not a High output has a 28oz balance where as a high output has a 50 oz balance. the timing cover should work. only a couple differences in timing covers as long as its not an older one it should. 302 and 351w have the same timing covers. If its carb'ed it has a fuel pump provision and if its efi it doesnt. Althought some older efi timing covers had the provisions and had plates on them I think. As long as the truck cover is a 5.0 it should work.

Will a 28oz balancer be compatable at all on a 5.0 high output? I just bought one and it claims to work on a 302, just needs a spacer.

Sorry to hi-jack.

it can be a 28oz on a 331 only if the rotating assembly is balanced for a 28 oz. usally 302 H.O. assembly's are balanced for 50 oz.

Most strokers are not of 50oz. imbalance.

Some balancers have a weight you can add to change it's imbalance.
