Nice car with a nice price tag. I think in addition to what the buyer pays, the seller also pays 8% or something to Barrett Jackson. So, who's really making out??? I shoud be auctioning cars.

I guess I'd just rather have a mustang that looks just as nice, isn't quite exactly original, and cost 1/10th the price. That way you culd have some fun when you drive it, rather than worrying about how much that micro-sized rock chip is going to cost to fix. But that just me, and I've never quite understood the whole concourse thing.

Ray, I might not have as many awards as you do, but finally got you beat, huh? I can say mine is now bigger than yours.

Don't know if you got a chnace to see it before it came back south, but Joe and the guys did a GREAT! job. He deserves all the credit. Even the Speed people, who are usually pretty tough on these cars had nothing but good things to say about it.

Check out the speed sight, they used mine as a fantasy bid car.

I won't deny that the price was way more than I could ever have dreamed or expected, but it is finally nice to see the Ford big blocks (other then Shelby's) stop being the water boy for the Mopar and Chevy's. They have been depressed long enough.

I agree.BJ is Hollywood bs,and their insane prices trickle down and make it harder for the average car guy to afford an old classic car.

Some people think that because a certain car sold for big $$$ on BJ,they can ask for big money for their rust bucket pos.
I hate that BJ auction. It does not help the average enthusiast market.

It`s basically for rich boy`s and not the average guy.

I totally agree. I love seeing the great cars that are on there but I cant stand what goes on (exactly what you said). This isnt why I buy Mustangs, I buy them because I love them and I would never do it or expect to turn a profit.

it may seem pricey, but there was a 70 cuda convert that sold for over 2 million i think.

besides, what says mustang more then a 69/70 mach 1 with the orange/black color combo with the 428 cobra jet?
