Hey....you guys who have installed a bassani aftercat.... did you have to disconnect the lower fastners on the shocks to lower the axle or can it be installed without disconnecting anything???? I have a 2004 GT...thanks

On my '02, i had to unbolt the bottom of the shock to let the axle down enough to fit the tailpipes over. I tried for about 10 minutes to get it over without doing this, but couldn't get it to fit over the axle. Don't worry, it is pretty easy to bolt it back up!

for the install take the rear wheels off and you'll have all the room in the world without disconnecting a thing

if you're talking about removal of the stock piece just cut the ****er off

If your talking about getting the old one off then just cut it, i put a loudmouth on mine a few weeks ago and I just cut it off. not worth keeping really. Maybe the tail pipes but I garbaged it all. As to putting the new one on, are the tips already welded to the pipes that go over the axle? If so, you will need to let the rear axle down to get it over.
