I have posted alot of questions and still cant make my mind up. I am now thinking of Bassani. I deffinately want LT's and i dont want catts... so i was wondering how LT's o/r x and bassani cat back would sound. does anyone have this setup or have heard it? also since we all know the price tag on the catback... how does it sound on a stock car i.e. factory midpipe and manifolds. i have listened to mustangexhaust and i can never tell anything. quality is bad. so if anyone has any videos, clips, or just oppinions i would love to hear them. thanx guys.

I have the Bassani cat back with factory mid pipe, manifold. I love the sound. The price sucks but the sound is definitely worth it. Hopefully soon I will have the Bassani headers and x-pipe. You won't regret it.

i have x-pipe w/cats and cat-back. I love the sound. You can't really hear it inside the car really bad, or no drone I should say. But if I have my windows down and go underneath an overpass the sound reflects and a big smile grows on my face. BTW, its alot cheaper to get the aluminized instead of the SS. I figure it'll still last atleast 10 years.....by then I'll want something new anyways.....know what I mean? Anyways, it's a good deep smooth exhaust system. Doesnt snap crackle pop like magnaflow and sounds meaner than flowcrappers in my opinion. I'm waiting for some redneck to ask me if those are flowmasters I have so I can slap him. My bro had borla with stock h and it sounded smooth too. But go with bassani, you'll be glad you did.

Do not buy a catted Bassani midpipe. Just read the reviews here...they are terrible. The cats burn out. I had mine on 5 months and the cat was toast. If you MUST buy Bassani buy offroad. Also...bassani customer service sucks IMO.

i dont like the clamshell design of the bassani midpipe anyway. to me its the same as BBK. do you think another True-X design coupled with LTs would sound good?

Just thought id share my experience. I got the Bassani Cat'less X-pipe for my 03 with magnaflow mufflers. Put them on a Saturday, had them off again by sunday. Sounded like **** in a can. Got really loud (to be expected somewhat) and REALLY raspy. I lost that traditional deep mustang sound and got a whiney mountain lion sound. I strongly suggest keeping the cat's though. I didnt really gain any extra horse from cat'less and it's my understanding that you wont unless you have a high power S/C. Just my .02

I have a full system (w/ cats). I even removed the baffles in the tailpipe. She's loud and she's mean, just like I wanted her.

yeop.... too high though... great quality from what i hear. i would probably go with the hooker LTs and shorty x. do really think it would sound good without cats though? i have never heard bassani in person. only sound clps and vids. i have read highly of it on here though.

Hooker makes great longtubes. Whatever X pipe you get don't get cats...they are worthless.

to bassani .... don't have it on my car yet, but i have been in multiple mustangs with complete bassani exhausts. they sound so mean. they are expensive, but i think they are well worth the cost. i will be getting the complete setup on my car soon as i can afford it hehe.

well a magazine article said that bassani had a new cat design, they flow tested it on a 98 cobra and showed its power results. the results were right on and a little better in spotts than the straight pipes.

I have the Bassani Quiet Thunder SS catted X with cat back system on my
01GT. Bassani quality cannot be outdone by anybody.

However, they DO drone and they absolutely snap, crackle and pop. They
are way too loud.

I'll be getting rid of mine.
