I just took my car out for a 1 hour 30 min ride back and forth the CT. No problems. But for some reason this has been going on for a bit. When i shut the car off and let it sit for a while it needs to be jumped. If I disconnect the battery and let it sit for a while it starts right up. This happened this weekend when I let it sit overnight with the battery connected. It would not start in the AM. Just would click. But I could let it sit for a month with the battery disconnected and it will start right up. I imagine something is draining the battery, but how can i find out what???? Could it be the alternator???? The battery is new too. It has been changed twice. :bang:

Thanks for any help.

Definitly sounds like a drain on the battery. Finding it will be the difficult part. First look at anything electrical you have installed. You may have thought you hooked something up to a switched power but is actually on a constant power. Gauges, amps, related radio equipment. Next look for lights such as glove box or under the hood. If you have a notch check the trunk light. Next look at stuff like rear defroster, heater fan (may be on low so you don't hear it). Beyond that you will need to find out what is switched power and what is not, then go one by one and see if any of theswitched leads are live with the key off. You will need the schematics for that.
