Battery dying overnight...

My old battery died, so I bought a new optima red top... but this morning it was dead too I took out all the fuses and checked the battery with a multimeter, it has 4 amps of current being drawn! What the hell could this be?

sounds like an alternator regulator. if you have the original alternator, remove the small plug from the reg and see if the drop goes away.
