This all started after I put on new heads. IT started up fine after the heads were on no problem there. I took the car out that night and on the way home I jumped on it to see what the new heads can do and she died. A wire came loose off the alternator and killed the battery. So I fix that then jumped it and the damn starter goes . So I have a new starter and a new battery now and the damn thing went dead over night. :damnit:

Disconnect the battery and see if it holds the charge. If it does, look for a drain. It may be with the wiring you fixed.

An old thread and your car is much older than mine.

Assuming you have already checked alternator output and performed a draw test on the fully charged battery. Leaves only one last task to perform: parasitic draw test. You will need a meter that reads mA.

Disconnect negative cable and connect the meter between the clamp and the post. On my 2005 the max allowable is 50mA; mine drew 30mA. Suspect yours should draw even less due to the lack of electronic wizardry in your car. If you detect a problem then start by disconnecting the alternator first then start pulling fuses, one at a time.
