Hey, I have a 88 FOX Hatch. My question for the battery relocation is about the positive cable. Where does the cable end up in the engine compartment when it comes from the back. Does the cable go to the starter or to the solenoid like when the battery was in the engine compartment. I know that when the battery is under the hood (normal way) the POS goes to the solenoid. I would imagine this would be the case also, please let me know.

Do you HAVE to have a cut off switch? I go to the track but not any competitions or anythinig they dont have a tech spec, just a public track, do i NEED one?! Thanks

Yes you should have a cut-off switch. The NMRA tech doesn't ever catch it. My pal has been running the wild street and bracket classes for 3 years with no cut-off switch. Also I doubt any "open" track night would either.

I've raced a lot at raceway park and other NHRA tracks and I do have a cutoff switch, but they've never asked for it. Pretty much, if you drive your car to the track, they don't really check much. But yea, you hook up the battery to the solenoid just as you would if it was in its stock location
