Hey guys I just finished up on my swap/wire tuck of the stand last night. Battery is relocated to the trunk. But I have a concern. The car has a bad ground so it won't start. Am I doing this wrong? Positive side I have 2 gauge wire going to the starter, 4 gauge wire going to the alternator with a 175amp fuse and the same 4 gauge and 175amp fuse to the fuse box. Negative side I have a 2 gauge wire going to the engine block and then an 8 gauge ring terminal over the 2 gauge wire going to the starter. But still no go.. I'm lost

I don't believe the starter gets a 2-gauge negative wire anywhere, unless you've mounted the ground to the starter body. It gets a positive wire, and a thin + wire from the ignition switch. The ground comes from the engine ground. What's your "no-go" - no crank, no lights on the dash when you turn it over, crank but no start?
