Hi i am looking into getting the BBk 1761 75mm throttle body and plenum kit for my 03 4.6 Gt. My mods are k&N FIPK, Magnapak Exhaust and Superchips 1725 programmer. My question is will it to too big for the engine and not produce signifigant gains. thanks
Or will it be overkill for the engine?

well if you are going force inducted in the near future then 75mm is your choice but if your staying N/A then 70mm is better

Dyno tests have show that a 75mm T/B has proven to have little to any ill effects on a stock or near stock later model 4.6L performance. The larger throttle body doesn't kill your low end/mid range torque like they used to on the old 5.0L OHV's. Will it be overkill....probably in the sense that you wouldn't possibly be able to utilize the additional airflow being introduced without further supporting mods, but not in the sense that it's going to have any sort of negative impact on performance.

Not to mention that if later on down the road, you decide to get a little more aggressive with your build (like most of us do) you won’t need to step up in the throttle body department again.

I don't seem to have any bad effects of the 75mm TB or plenum on my car

So, I wouldn't worry about it
