like the title says... i need recomendations on what gaskets to use and studs...if i'd get a kit with both would be super.

i read on here a few weeks ago about a longtube install and someone had good luck with ...gaskets he said were supposedly reusable from summit maybe?

anyways, help me out please, want to get these longtubes on asap!

i have BBK shorties on my stang and i have cooper gaskets with them. i believe i have the supplied hardware. i didn't install them them, i had it installed, while the shop i go to did the H/C swap.
i went with the coopper cause the shop recomended right from the start not to use the supplied gaskets. but they said i could buy your run of the mill fel-pro ect.. or pay a little more for the cooper, i think i paid like $28, and be able to reuse them. so i went that route. i've had them for over a year and no problems at all.

yeah whatever you do, DO NOT use the stock gaskets. I put my bbk shorties on in august using the stock junk, in less than three months the passenger side has blown and grows worse everyday. I just ordered a Mr. Gasket kit from Summit for $22, which includes header gaskets plus new bolts and collector gaskets as well.

I use SCE copper I also use stainless studs on the 2 ends. Makes taking off and on a snap. Make sure you anti seize all the bolts. Check them after a few heat cycles and then a few weeks later. NO Leaks.

Good luck

Are any studs gonna suit my needs, even if i get cheap ones? i'd think they would just not going with stainless wouldn't look as good, but that's fine? or is their a reason some are $20 and others are $90?
