I'm living on Social Security, fixed income, and my accountant died about the same time I retired, mysterious circumstances I'm told
I have no money in the bank, no property in my name.
My shovel seems to be well used
Curious minds only inquire once.
The PO had put white face gauge overlays on the instrument cluster. I tried to live with it but they were drove me crazy. They made things way too dim at night and there were bubbles under the overlays where they didn't go down flat. Back in October, I pulled the overlays off the speedometer and tachometer but the original gauge faces got pretty jacked up in the process. When I saw that, I stopped and didn't mess with the rest of the gauges, but was annoyed every time I saw them. In addition to that the ribbon circuit was in pretty rough shape with some of the traces starting to pull up and the white plastic housing looked like it had seen better days.
My 91GT project had a good looking cluster but the tach had an issue where it worked for one test drive but then the needle wouldn't go past 500 RPM on subsequent drives.
Solution: Put the working tach from the 93LX in the 91GT clutser (with the factory black face overlay) and then drop that cluster into the 93LX. At least now I have a clean factory cluster with a good ribbon circuit. When I get ready to button up the 91 in the distant future, I'll move this cluster back over (If I haven't bought one of the factory inspired digital ones I'm eyeing on LMR)
