Ok i finally got the headers in after a long day! I had trouble eariler today with the shift linkage on the transmission, so i posted a thread, and called some of the local performance shops and summit. Summit and the performance shops said that " no one makes long tubes to fit an AOD transmission." Well summit doesn't tell you that in their catalog.
so i had to heat the headers with a torch and bend them about 2 inches, and beat the top in with a hammer so the linkage will clear. after installation i realized that the steering shaft was catching the #7 exhaust tube. so i had to dent the header tube slightly to get the clearance i needed. after a long days work and all the trouble, there finally in and i couldn't be happier.
A lot of work but well worth it!
Some one should make a set of long tubes to fit an AOD with out all that fabrication! :worship:
