Ok, Im thinking about doing my exhaust soon...BBK Long Tubes, Off road H.
-Do I need the O2 extensions?
-Should I buy new header bolts? 3/4 or 1"?
-Do I need new gaskets or should I use the ones that come with it?
-Any tips on install?
From searching it sounds like the EGR stuff can be a pain, anything else to look out for?

Thanks

H

yup, jack the motor up a few inches, will make it fit easier (some dont have to but most do). i got mine in overnight. the erg stuff isnt fun but its not impossible. the hardest part i had was getting clearance from a few different parts like bars and such but it worked out fine.

I have them. I LOVE them. I got the O/R H-Pipe as well. I didnt buy the extensions and made my own extensions and never got a CE light. If you have the cash, get the extensions. I suggest you get the Felpro gaskets instead(or the FRPP which are renamed but are really Felpro) of those BBK ones. Dont even try them. They suck.

The best bolts are the Stage8 LOCKING header bolts. Although I dont have the part number with me. I just know that my old Stage8, which I had on my stock heads DO nOT fit in my AFR heads. They're too long..
So get the good part number.

I have bbk longtubes and i'm happy with them but i just bought an o/r x pipe to replace the h. The sound of an x compared to an h IMO is just so much better plus i have 40 series original flows. Yeah you'll get a drone but it doesnt bother me. A hundred guys will tell you the x straight through and the h chamberd rule of thumb but its all a matter of prefernce. I'll have some sound clips of the sound difference here in a week or two.
