was thinking about buying a used set but when I went to summit to check out the specs it says they dont fit the floor mounted auto. anyone have any experience with this?

I ordered Pypes...304 polished stainless steel long tube headers..I was told by their tech that they will fit my 97' Gt auto...I ordered them on Saturday..with their stainless steel H pipe....there is a couple of guys on the other forums with autos running BBK headers...

I talked to some ppl on BMC forums...there were several ppl over there that had them on their autos...I cant remember if I called BBK myself..I called so many companies...

yes bbk long tubes will absolutely fit an auto ! I have them on my 02 gt . The only issue is at the collector flange it hits the trans pan so the simple solution was to grind a 1/4 inch off of the flange all else fits and works fine. now of course you also need to grind the same amount off of the h pipe flange as well because it will also not fit correctly. other than that 10 minutes worth of work they fit great Chris

Let me know how they fit. I'm thinking of getting some.

I have BBK LT's with my automatic.....it IS a tight fit, but it works.

As a side note, I DID have problems with my BBK off road H pipe leaking at the headers - I switched to a MAC off road H pipe, and it worked no problem.
