BBk shortie install ???

for those who have bbk shorties, did you have to relocate the ac line on the passenger side when installing these headers to avoid it from getting to much heat from the headers

Well ive had longtubes and shorties. The shorties can make power.Just not as much as longtubes in some cases.

I dont think shorites are killing my setup .

the reason shorties dont yield big gains over stock is bc the stock manifolds arent all that bad. dont get me wrong, the stock manifolds arent the best possibility, but they could have been a lot worse. nothing wrong with shorties, but personally I'm going with LT's because i want to experience getting my ass kicked by the install.

I went with the tuned length BBK shorties, absulotuely no fitment issues didn't have to relocate anything.

As far as the ST vs LT BS, some people just can't have LTs.

After a few years of owning longtubes. Most will enjoy the quality of life with shorites.Esp if you have to change starters, clutch etc.

What finish would you guys suggest for shorty`s??? regular or ceramic?? Does it really matter with shorty`s?? I know long tubes ceramic is better because theire longer and they keep the heat in.

ceramic is more beneficial in that it keeps the heat OUT of the engine bay more so than because it keeps the exhaust gasses hot.

IMO the BBK finish sucks (the part is awesome, but the ceramic coated over the weld splatters) If I could have I would have got them in stainless steel and removed the burrs, then had a friend cermaic coat em.

I agree. But after costing out the difference between coating them after the fact.It was 100.00 more than buying the headers precoated.Plus no one will ever see the splatters .They are to deep in the engine bay.

But ceramic coating is a big plus.On ANY header.
