This might be a stupid question, but I'm asking it anyway:

Is there anyway to install the BBK SSI intake for the 86-93 5.0 on a 94-95 5.0? Would it even improve performance?

Dumbass question?

Magazines have tested it, they seem to like it, near as I can tell, you would need to use an elbow, elswise, should work.

the magazine article found similar improvements, but not more than other intakes, and the bbk one costs more.

there may also be clearance issues as the bbk intake is taller than other aftermarket intakes. something to keep in mind at least.

it seemed to perform pretty well from what I have seen. It deff wont put you at a disadvantage over any of the other common used Intakes.

It may work with a '94-'95 elbow adaptor, but it will definitely work if you do a Fox TB conversion (don't know about hood clearance, but you always wanted an excuse to run a cobra r hood, right?)

I can't think of why it wouldn't help performance. Any aftermarket intake will help performance. If you've ever seen a stock lower, you will see how poor it is and how cylinders 1 & 5 must starve for air.

I have heard many times that the real problem is hood clearance. Not sure how much taller it is than what we have now.

I've heard that it clears the stock hood in the fox bodies, but it will hit the stock 94-95 hood because of the slope in the hood.
