This???

I don't think anyone here is running this. More a nostalgia thing at this point. I'm pretty sure a good turbo setup would outpower it, and you could stay EFI for economy (relative term). Those blowers are not terribly effecient.

a bds will make enough power to split an aftermarket block, and basic kits start at like 3500 which is cheaper than any turbo kit you will find to make that power.

Too bad you won't find something like that for a mass air system. I'd get one and pretend I'm Mad Max.

No doubt it will make power. Yeah, you can get it for about 3500, but I don't think one that will split an aftermarket block. I mean what are you talking over 2500 HP? Isn't that what some of the DART blocks are supporting?
And, you're not going to use it with our EFI system, easily anyway. And, yeah they make power, but are not as effecient as Turbo/Centifrfigal/Screw type blowers.
I think if the rules allowed it, you see some turbos in Top Fuel, too....

cant use it with the ol eec IV but i definately can use it with efi, and i sure would. a 10-71 bds would be good for about 1500 which would tear up some ford racing blocks, and a dart sportsman. im definately not planning on making this much power, but i do want to be at about 700 or so.
