Having taken a first semester physics class isn’t exactly a bragging point, I never claimed that I was the most, or even intelligent at all, people can decide that for themselves. My point, which is obviously beyond your level of understanding, was that anyone with common sense who is willing to think it through could understand it, particularly given that the work has already been done and spelled out for their viewing. Most anyone in this thread, other than you two clowns, could have easily done the same work that I did themselves.

Neither of the two verify what you claim, which is no surprise to me, as you evidently don’t have even the basic cognitive skills necessary to verify whether or not you’ve zipped your fly up, let alone interpret someone else’s statements. Speaking of communication skills, ever heard of spell check or paragraph structure? I realize that English is most likely not your first language, but you need to at least try to get close enough to get your half baked point across.

And why would that be? A 289 is no different than any other small block Ford, other than the fact that it has a shorter stroke, cast iron heads, and in most cases, no air conditioning system, all of which tend to make it run cooler. The fact of the matter is that a 289 isn’t notorious for running hot by anyone's standards. Like your friend, you have no valid point to make, and your absurd rhetoric doesn’t fool anyone.

I applaude your efforts at modelling, I really do, but acting like a jerk does not mean you are intelligent. I just have to look to the wall and see my degrees in IT and science and laugh, trying to understand the mentality that it takes to be so insecure that you have to write paragraphs of insults. I majored in physical mathematics in the science degree and what would have been more substantial in your model is for you to have modelled the energy(s) of the system (meaning airflow, EM fields, heat generation through friction(s) and electronic inefficiencies, etc) using BDEs (bessel functions) or polynomials, for accuracy of the model, and factored in the world around the fan. The more detail, the closer to reality.

Take what you will from what others say because it is foolish to be stubborn and not listen. What's the worst thing that could happen if someone else is right and you are wrong? - You might learn something. Heaven forbid...

No doubt you'll have another rant about how I can't possibly have any intelligence and how I have left my pants undone.

No rants here, and no you don't have any scientific degree, if you did, you would comprehend that a laplace transform, not a bessel function is the appropriate means of solving the equations involved. If you have something better to present, then present it.

I don't recall ever disclosing or bragging about my level of education, because I don't see any point in it, obviously you do. If you had bothered to read what I wrote, I'm in here for the same reason as most everyone else, and that's to learn from other people, but I'm certainly bright enough to know that you don't have anything to offer me or anyone else, so why would I bother to listen to you?

Here's the clearance on my 66 with a late model 302. It has a 4 core radiator with a Spal electric fan. The fan was very easy to mount. If you need pics of the mounting brackets it came with let me know. I have since removed the washers from the water pump pulley and that gave me a bit more room. I'm hoping there isn't going to be any, or very little, front to back movement of the engine.

The car isn't running yet so i can't tell you how good it works, real world or in a lab.

I'm not sure what's getting hotter, people's attitudes or their water temp in this thread.

How about we cool things down a bit, please

Although I could care less about fan CFM I do have to add that right or not, Baskin, youre Being a condescending a-hole about this whole thing. As fellow human beings, most of us find it's very easy to make our point without insterting offensive jabs in what could be a simple and informative response, yet it appears you have an issue with that? If the guys wrong fine, but theres no need to belittle anyone.

Well, first I'm told that my opinion doesn't matter, and then I'm repeatedly called a jerk or a straight *******, whatever that is, and now we have you calling me an a-hole, due to my offensive jabs, ever heard of the word hypocrisy?

I've never met anyone with any level of intellect who can't manage to express themselves without using foul language, and don’t see any reason to treat them, or for that matter you, with any respect in my reply and don’t see why anyone else would. If you want a polite reply, make a polite statement, it’s a simple as that.
