Whats up everyone. Its been quite a while since I checked in here in 4.6 talk. I took a break from forums for a bit, but now I'm back... What's new?

I have some news that might shock a few members here, but after 7 years of driving modular Mustangs, I parted ways with my baby, my 2003 Mach 1. I am not stangless though, I still own my 91 LX coupe, & I did get a replacement for the Mach that I am VERY pleased with. Not too sure if I should post about it here since its not a Blue Oval product, but some may appreciate it? I will however post about it if people are interested. I will give a few clues, its a 2005 american 4 door sedan, rwd, V8, & manual transmission... Any guesses?

Anyhow, just wanted to check in, say hello, & let people that remember know that I'm still around...

I want to post it up here, but I don't want to clutter up 4.6 talk with pics of a brand X vehicle LOL... I know some of my friends over here will appreciate the car though...

That was just it. I loved the Mach to death. I purchased it bone stock & turned it into a masterpiece IMO. But I got sick of having 2 mustangs that I barely drove, & I was too anal about the Mach, & since I still paid payments on it, I figured it was time to move on after 4+ years. I also needed something more roomy, comfy, refined, but still fast. Since Ford doesn't produce any RWD, manual trans 4 door cars, GM was the next choice. I have always liked the CTS-V, so that is what I went with... I am VERY happy with my choice, the car is everything I wanted & more...

Anyhow, I promise I wont post this here again, & I'm sure I will get flamed, but here it is. Its a 2005 Light Platinum CTS-V. I purchased it from a buddy whom was the original owner, it has 51k miles, & its in immaculate shape. He already did all the tasteful mods, so I'm just gonna enjoy the car & drive it.

The mods include a Flowtech street sweeper cam (228/232 duration. 111 LSA, 612 intake/600 exhaust), Full B&B exhaust from the 1 3/4 longtubes to the 3" x pipe & catback, electric cutouts, eibach springs, QA1 adjustable shocks/struts, 3rd gen diff upgrade, Hendrix anti hop axle, Spectre Works cradle bushings, custom poly motor mounts, LS7 clutch, & a uuc shifter. For a 3,800+ Lb car, man this thing scoots, & rides smoothly in the process compared to the Mustangs I am used to LOL... Im in love for sure....

I recently had the car retuned because it was running way too lean & not making the power it should. It went from a measly 382 rwhp/365 rwtq with the old tune, to 420 rwhp/393 rwtq. Pretty darn good I must say for nothing but full exhaust & a cam...

Here are a few pics & soundclips...

Nice to see ya back around!

I hate that you sold your Mach. I'd venture to say that your Mach 1 was the best looking car on these forums (in my opinion). Regardless, sometimes you want/need to upgrade, and the only way to do that is to part ways with a past love. I'm sorta in that situation right now (wanting to upgrade, but not being able to without selling my car). For the time being, I'll just have to wait and see.

Nice V you got, too! I'm a Ford guy all the way, after watching one of the newer supercharged ones run 10s with minimal mods a few weeks ago, I've been a pretty big fan of them.

Sad to see your Mach gone, it was a sweet ride. The caddy is cool, not so much my taste, but its hard to argue with the numbers it puts down and the fact you are happy with it.

It is always tempting to get a 4 door car, I always volunteer to drive but everyone automatically refuses to take a ride in the stang's back seat. Congrats on your purchase. Those GM cars are always so tempting with how much power they are able to put to the ground.
