Thanks guys for not flaming me. Believe me, it was very hard to decide to part ways with the Mach after all the work I put into it, how clean I kept it, & how long I owned it. But I got to the point to where I really didn't enjoy driving it anymore. Mostly it was due to all the extreme suspension mods I had on the car, & the ride quality was pretty poor IMO. I really loved to look at the car, but I would rarely pull it out of the garage anymore. Also, I had a $400 a month payment on it, & that got old since it just sat 98% of the time. Sometimes you just have to move on ya know? I really wanted to sell it as it sat, because IMO it was the example of a perfectly modded Mach, but with this current economy, I got too many lowball offers so I returned the car back to stock, & sold all the mods. At least I got to keep the front coiloverv setup, & FR500 wheels & installed them on my 91 LX.

As far as the CTS-V is concerened, I know it's not some peoples taste here, but it fits my criteria perfectly. I promise if you actually drove one, you would be pleasently surprised. It feels nothing like a heavy 4 door car, & it handles, brakes, & accelerates like a car that weighs 500 lbs less. Not to mention, the car has less fender to tire gap than my Mach did, but it rides like a dream. Its very hard to argue with the power it makes too. I love it, & the great thing is, I still own my other Stang, so I'm not out of the scene... I will still post here, there are way too many fond memories here on Stangnet for me to up & leave...

The funniest thing about owning this car is that everywhere I go, people ask "whats under the hood", or say "that's the craziest caddy I've ever heard" because the cam lopes so hard, it sounds like the motor should be sitting in a Vette or a 70 Chevelle. People will roll down their window at a light & have this puzzled look on their face. Its actually VERY comical LOL.

Thanks guys!!!

Very nice Epik. One of my co-workers has a Caddy like that and LOVES it. His is more or less bone stock, so I can imagine how much you will love yours. If I did not have a different daily driver, I could see why paying for a car and having it sit most of the time would make you like it less....and I get the suspension thing. As soon as I did up the suspension on my 90, it became less enjoyable for regular daily duties. Anyway, good luck with the new ride.

P.S.
I PMed you a couple weeks ago, you can disregard about the picture, I found what I was looking for.

Thanks... Well, not bashing the Mach, but yes this car is MUCH more comfy & refined compared to a fox based Mustang, especially one with full tubular & solid suspension. It's pretty much the equivolent of driving a Lazy Boy couch that handles great LOL...

Thanks... Yeah, I always thought I would keep the Mach forever, but often our priorties, Likes, & dislikes change as we age. Also, dropping $400 a month on the car & rarely driving it definitely took its tool. I could of always demodded the suspension to make it more comfy, but that seemed like backtracking after what I put into it, & I was pretty much bored with everything but the way the car looked...

Damn Epik, that Mach was the best looking car on this site IMO but I can totally understand where you are coming from and think you made a good choice. I myself often think about buying a CTS-V also in silver cause the black ones just don't look right

I've got a kid now and it's just such a PITA to put him in the back. Plus the stang is noisy, the ride is rough, and in my case my measly little NPI 2V isn't even fast. I, like you, just like to look at my car and driving it just isn't that fun anymore. I may have to start looking for a V

I rode in one a few years ago that just had exhaust, it was a helluva ride. Smooth and quick enough for a 4 door without the BMW or MB pricetag. Plus they sound good and yours already has the good diff upgrades!

Looks clean as hell except get rid of the Corvette valve covers! A nice set of Carbon Fiber ones would make the car look sick!

I like the V's except there are the apparent diff issues. I really love the G8's too. My dad is a GM guy at heart and LS1 T/A's, V's and G8's could definitely have a home in my driveway at some point in time!

One of my all time favorite cars. I remember being at a small little meet at a local hot dog place by my parents house in NJ, and the on-ramp to the highway was right next to the parking lot where the meet was. A black CTS-V, totally stock appearing rounded the corner, hopped on the ramp, and hammered it. It was so loud, and sounded so amazing, I almost **** my pants. Ever since then, I have had a soft spot for them. Surprisingly, I think I like your generation better than the current one. I'd love the blown LS9 in your gen Caddy. That would be the icing on the cake.

Gorgeous car man, if it's anything like the Mach and the LX, I'm sure it'll be kept pristine

Although your GT was very nice, IMO you made a good choice. Your truck is nice & is much more practical than a stang as a daily.

Thanks for the compliment. The Mach will always live on with the 1000's of pics I posted over the years LOL... All the reasons you named besides the NPI part are what led me to selling the Mach. You will NOT regret getting into a V, trust me.

Thanks. I don't mind the Vette valve covers, & they are MUCH better looking than the stock cover that the V's come with.

The weak point on these cars, as with a lot of GM's is the rear diff & axles. Mine does have the best factory diff since the original owner grenaded the the original diff at the track. Basically its like the Cobra IRS, if it hops, get out of it. I learned my lesson once already. I stabbed it one cold night from a first gear roll, it hopped pretty bad, then "BAM"!!! I snapped the driver side inner CV joint.

Thanks. Yeah, I noticed that most people are not aware that CTS-V's exist. Since mine is pretty beefy sounding, it gets quite a bit of attention. I like this body style more than the new ones as well, but you can't beat that LS9!!!

Thanks Chris. It was hard to part with the Mach, but at the end of the day, it's just a car, & I'm overall happier with this. You would be surprised how nimble this big car feels on the road.

Andrew, thanks man. I'm lovin it!!! These cars can be picked up anywhere between $16k-$26k depending on year, mileage, & color combo. I picked mine up as it sits, fully modded, 51k miles from a buddy of mine for $22k, which is a GREAT price considering the condition, mileage, & all the mods.

Thanks again guys

Thanks, you got that right. It's always nice to have a comfy car to cruise. If I recall, you got an Acura TL right? I always loved that model TL, but MAN did Acura sure strike out with the current bodystyle.. Man they are hideous. I tried to make this Caddy my DD, but it guzzles too much gas, & I get too dirty at work to be driving this thing everyady, so I still have my econobox DD. BUT, don't get me wrong this isn't a total garage queen like the Mach was.

I do have a few crappy cell phone pics of the Notch with the FR's on it. Keep in mind, it needs an alignment BAD, & most likely needs smaller tires up front instead of the 265's. I also have 1/4" spacers installed out back because I need to get the tailpipes adjusted because the 295 BFG's are rubbing on them. YUP, 295's on a fox FTW!!!!
