ok, so i just replaced the intake manifold on my 96 gt. please, PLEEEEEASE help me. this litte piggy is my ONLY way to work tomorrow, and she's got problems.

when i started her back up, after everything was connected, she wasn't running quite right. she had a bit of a stumble to her when you stepped on the gas. so i thought maybe it was the new manifold and the new cold air kit that i put on while i was at it today. i thought maybe she was just re-learning her air/fuel stuff...... so i decide to take her around the block to autozone to return the torque wrench and she throws a code. then she starts misfiring. THEN she starts throwing a misfire (flashing) code. i get her to autozone and pull the codes, it's p0102 and p0300. i know 0300 is random/multiple cyl. misfire, and it said that 0102 was maf/vaf circuit low intake. i have NO F-ING CLUE what that crap is. everything is reconnected.

i get back home and check her plug wires. one of them popped down a little farther so i think that might have been the cause of the misfire. but she's still got the stumble and the solid code is back (i'm assuming the p0102.)

i'm begging......need help.....BADLY

Check the wires going into your coils. Make sure they are all pushed into the connector and making contact even though the connector is plugged in. I found this after the engine started running way badly. I ended up using epoxy to keep the wires from coming out of the connector..................

Firing Order, look it up on google and howstuffworks.com before touching an engine again please

well i knew the plug wires made a difference. didn't know the location on the coil pack did. sorry to come off like a dumb chick, i'm just worn out from being at this since 8:30 this morning.

little black vert, yes there is a firing order. that should explain why it is running the way it is. i dont know the firing order for your car, but i'm sure you can find it online. make sure that you have all the wires going to the right plug. if that doesnt work post back....

YEEESSSSSS! we reversed #6 & #5!!! SHE RUNS LIKE A CHAMP!!! NO MORE STUMBLE! out of the 5 forums i posted this on, you guys were the only ones that got it! everyone else said "blown headgasket" "vaccum leak" "bad o2 sensor" or some other crap!!! thanks guys!

yep, the way i look at it.... they help me and i help them. i took me a min to find the info you needed. but looks like it was worth it. It would have been faster but i'm still at work so i cant devote 100% of my attn to the forms and internet ya know? well glad to hear that you got it done....... : )
