Im in the middle of my turbo build and I have to get a new bellhousing. My aluminum one for my tko has cracked.

The 3 Im looking at are

Aluminum $179
Lakewood $399
Mcleod $299

Is it worth the extra money.

I dont plan on putting out any more than 500rwhp. For now anyways. Will another aluminum tko bellhousing be strong enough for a turbo car. It would be nice to put the $120 difference towards the 5lug swap that is in the process as well. And this is a full out street car. No 6000rpm launches. Just drag radials.

Just wondering what others have done.

Thanks in advance.
Dan.

I got a McLeod for the insurance. You will hear otherwise but, the McLeod are alrady indexed too. If in doubt call D&D Performance. Good luck.

tunedin302. I noticed you said that it was indexed. Did d&d tell you that. They said my aluminum was and it turned out to be not true. Although this didn't cause any damage it was still off. I understand they use the same tooling as the factory to make them But I still needed to be indexed.

For anyone that knows anything about indexing. With the .014 offset dowels I have in now to correct my runout I had. Would bolting up the mcleoud put me within spec because both the tko aluminum one and mcleoud a supposed to be correct.

Anyone understand what I am talking about.

D&D told me that and also, when you get the bell it has a sticker on the top showing the alignment numbers of each dowel hole - meaning it was pre-indexed.
