belt length no a/c

since you still have a pulley in the smog pump location you would just use a stock non-a/c belt. Did you use the fms a/c delete as well ?. This is what I did and just went to napa and got a non a/c belt for a 5.0. fit no problem.

well I did what greensvt suggested and it turns out that belt is too short.
It was 85 1/4" and was too short. And no I havent put the fms a/c delete.
Should I try 86 1/4? I think that the cars that came from factory with no a/c had a different p/s mounting bracket and I believe it was the highway patrol cars not too sure tho. Anybody else tried this?
Using all stock pullleys and a fms smog delete btw.

I do plan on having a/c in the future so buying a fms a/c delete is out of the question

-Take a peice of string and tie it around the pulleys the way the belt runs.
- Cut string and measure length
- Go to parts store and buy 3 belts, one that exact length, then the next size smaller and next size larger.
- Try belts to see which one fits best.
- Return the 2 belts that you dont use.

It is what I did. It prevents multiple trips to the parts store.
