Belt squeaks at wot when shifting gears ?

When shifting gears when I'm on it hard. My belt squeaks. The belt is good, looked all over its in prefect condition. So what should I do or anyone else had this problem. I'm assuming its slipping and in that split second loosing hp. But its just a N/A car.

It's slipping.

You aren't losing HP when it slips. You don't have a belt driven supercharger.


But if your belt is slipping it's time to replace it.

Yeah mine does the same thing when I punch it and shift hard it'll slip. The belt is brand new, I replaced it back in the summer time. It doesn't do it all the time, but it's pretty often and all it does is squeak so it barely slips.

Get a Gatorback belt and your problem will be solved

There is stuff called belt dressing that will help too. It just creates more friction, you can pick it up at any automotive store.
