Hey guys, does anyone know anything about rebuilding a starter for a 96 cobra. I think that my bendix gear is stripped. When I go to start it up, there is a strange whooshing sound, that i have never heard before. I know what a bad starter sounds like, and have ruled that out. I think that it is either my bendix gear, or the solenoid for the starter is stuck in the disengaged postition. Has anyone had to do this before, and what would you recommend doing. I know that most threads that get responded to are about bodykits, and stereos, but I could really use some help.
