this is under the hood where they meet the fittings that go into the rail. how should i fix this?

To be honest, every single 5.0L fox Mustang I have seen are like that. Yours look a little worse than what I have seen.

94-95 Mustang lines are braided steel at that section.

About the only right and safe way to fix it is to replace the whole line. I wouldn't trust cutting it and clamping it since it's a high pressure line.

I wouldn't hesitate for an instant to cut that bent section out and put a piece of fuel injection hose in with fuel injection clamps. It isn't that much pressure and FI hose and clamps are designed to work with FI pressures.

Cut that kinked nylon line off & go to your local auto parts store & get you some 3/8" high pressure fuel injection hose along with some fuel injection clamps. it'll get you fixed up & there won't be any problems.

I would do it the right way, Get an entirely new line, be done with it the first time and have peace of mind-Its worth a million dollars.! Dont play around with fuel man, FIRE!!!!!

i called mustangsunlimited and they told me that even if i buy a new fuel rail it won't come with that part. is this the fi hose you guys were talking about? AutoZone.com | Shopping | Accessories | Product Detail - Goodyear 18 x 3/8 in. Fuel Injection Hose

There's a semi-hard plastic fuel line available in splice kits from places like Autozone that you should consider. It's made specifically for fuel injection pressures. IIRC, you have to heat up one end with something (hairdryer or whatever) so it will soften up enough that you can slip it over the brass splice connection to get it to go together. From the looks of it, that's pretty much what that kinked line is that you have there - the plastic part kinked right after the barbed end of the metal line. So, perhaps just clip off the plastic line you have there and use a knife or razor to slice down the side of the remaining piece of fuel line on the metal barb to get it off, and then slip on your new line.

You could use a small piece of fuel injection hose to splice the two pieces together in theory, but without any kind of barbs on the plastic part to keep it in place, I don't see how (even with fuel injection hose clamps) the thing wouldn't just pop right off of there right away.

That will pretty much break it.... Going back and forth, i would do that. Dude-Just goto the junkyard and pull the entire line from another stang and be done with it. If you cant buy it from an aftermarket source, The Junkyard is your next alternative.

Mine did the same thing, easy fix.

Remove that section from the car...disconnect it from the rail and the under body lines. Using a razor, cut the end fitting off above the kink. Then cut up the fitting to peel off the plastic line from the fitting. Now heat the end of the line and push the fitting back on the freshly cut line. There is plenty of plastic line to remove two inches. The fitting is originally pushed in place using the same method, heating the line causes it to get soft, allowing you to push the fitting on. When the line cools, it creates a seal and squeezes itself on the fitting, keeping it from coming off.

When i did the 4 cyl to v-8 conversion i routed the lines wrong so my tire rubbed a hole in the line. I used a splice kit on my truck for a broken fuel line no problem.
So i tried to do that on my mustang i cut the little that was left off of the hard line and heated up the other side to splice it back together. Well i tried this multiple times and i could only get it 3/4 of the way on there. It always got stuck on the last barb.

After screwing with it for hours i finally cut off the hard plastic form the quick connect and got 3/8 FI hose and clamped it back together. No problems yet

Thats my experience not worth the time and aggravation

Also i have used a pair of pliers and squeezed lightly on a fuel kink and it straighten back out for me and its still holding on my truck
