I just recently got a fox body mustang. I was wondering if any has every bent a quad shock? With that being said i am pretty sure the driver side is bent on my car. Could this cause binding and lead to loosing traction and having the rear break free under hard acceleration? I am not an mech engineer but is seems some what logical that if the suspenion binded on one side this could happen. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It won't effect the car handling that much.
If in fact it is bend, maybe it's just the dust cap that's dented.
I suspect the past owner had bigger rims/tires in the wheelwell, or launching the car hard it did bend.
Some guys take them off, rotate them to clear, but I like using them on my otherwise stock Mustang. The car seems to be planted better from pulling away from a stop.
You can get a replacement set at autozone for around $50. Ask or look up axle dampers in the suspension area.

Yeah i have them ordered, and the previous owner did contribute to it. It definately bent it serves no purpose and doesnt move at all, as if it was welded. I am just wondering because i was pulling out some what hard, and turning left, and i started to hop and it spun out, and some body damage insued haha. I was a little surprised because i its never done that. obviously there are many many variables that contribute i was just wondering if something simular has ever happen to any one else further more, if it seem logical that it would cause a problem seening as its essentially a solid rod and the other side is not.
