this is the story:
I was messing around racing one of my friends and i powershifted 1-2 and when i powershifted 2-3 i missed the gear . now the shifter is realy far forward. 2,4,R gear are a little more upright and 1,3,5 are reeely far forward like the knob is almost touching the stereo head. bent the thift fork right?? i have a tri-ax shifter though.... i thought it was supposed to be impossible to do with the shifter.
Any way to bend it back or do i just have to get it replaced?
how much would it cost to have the fork replaced?

if it's not that I would pull the shifter off and check the little plastic thing that goes on the bottom of the little thingy on the botton of the tri-ax that rides in that one thingy in the transmission. Hey, I did my best

just curious...what would a bent shift fork feel like?
UPDATE: took off the boot and the shifter handle is obviously bent. I took it out and put another tri-ax handle that i had from an old triax i used to use when the car had a T-45. The shifts still feel longer leading me to believe that either the fork is a little bent or somewhere along the shifter there is another bend. I guess i gatta take it apart when i get a chance. Im just happy i dont have spend a few 100 to take apart the transmition to get a $4 part replaced.
And the reason why i did it in the first place is bc i didnt install the shifter myself, i was having a t3550 tranny in, so i gave the shifter and the KC clutch to the shop to put it in while they are at it. Turns out they didnt adjust the bump stops and majorly skrewed me bc they were set too far back and provided no protection.
