like combo says. I want a 9:1 compression ratio and I plan on running supercharger. I'm Torn like hell and I have the money to spend just always been hesitant cause everyweek I change my mind.

I like Brodix cause they're put on all the race cars I run and I get no problems with it. not crazy about edelbrocks products.

Just Give me suggestions on whats the best way to spend 1700 dollars on intake/heads

dont mind getting my shift point bumped up to 6400 rpm ......

You can't go wrong with AFR or TFS.

afr heads and tfs intake wouldnt be a bad thing, but I think that the holley intake or the RPM II intake would probably be the best on some afr 185's. either way you can't go wrong.

You will probably spend a little more than $1700 getting AFR 185s and an intake if you buy them new. But that would be my first choice (AFR 185s and a Performer RPM or Holley depending on the rest of your parts). My second choice would be a set of Twisted Wedge heads and a TFS intake to match it. The TFS stuff can be bought new for less than $1700.

My new blower motor will have a set of Twisted Wedge heads and a Performer RPM.

In Octobers 5.0 Super Ford magazine, they took a Supercharged(Novi 2000) 306 with Cobra intake, AFR 185's , an F cam, and unequal length headers. The combination made 429 rwh and 412 rwt. They added 1 3/4 length long tube headers and a Holly Systemax intake and at LaRocca's dyno it made 512rwh and 459 rwt. Im sure there are better cams out there, but not bad performance, in my opinion.... The intake alone made 52 more horspower...

With the stock bottom end I wouldn't spin to 6400rpm (assuming you removed the rev-limiter @ 6250)...

With you having an auto I suggest to get AFR 165's (60cc for a bit less compression) and a Performer RPM intake...that should put you just a bit over your goal @ $1800 or so and I would make sure you get a nice torquey curve or keep your stock one...if your going with a cam...go with either an FTI or Buddy Rawls custom...

If you had a 5spd I would suggest AFR 185's or Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads and a slightly bigger intake (Holley)...but with the auto I would stick with the above personally

AFR recommends the Performer RPM intakes for their heads.....so you can't go wrong there.

You got that right. I am good friends with Renegade Champion Bart Tobener and he runs Twist Wedge heads and a Holley intake. He also built a Real Street car as well with and said he got the best results with the T/W and Holley setup.

Yeah i know what you're saying, i've just never thought of a cobra intake as a bottleneck. But then again on an engine like that, it's probably comparable to a stock intake on a stock engine.
