Best Bolt On For 2500-3500 Rpm Power/acceleration

I have a 2000 GT, 5spd. Only mods i have so far are 3:73, short throw shifter, and Ford racing intake manifold. I'm trying to figure out what the best bolt-on mod would be for power/acceleration for 2500-3500 RPM. Other mods i was debating were cold air intake, throttle body, and exhaust; i know exhaust doesn't do a whole lot for acceleration. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

+1 on the steeper gears. Another thing which may not be considered a bolton, but cams are definitely a good option.

dont want to spend a whole lot of money on gears so soon, just put the 3:73's in in November. Certain RPM range because i am looking for more get up and go once i'm already moving, so more acceleration or power once i'm in the 2500 and higher rpms.

Bang for the buck will be a centrifugal supercharger with your gears already installed. Nothing else aside from nitrous oxide will give you the same return.

I had the shift points on my automatic tranny adjusted, so that it gets into the power band more quickly. I also installed 2.5" exhaust, 75MM TB and plenum, and CAI. My mods were about $1500.00 total including a dyno tune, and produced close to a 20HP gain at the rear wheels. I'm debating on cams and gears for my next mod. I don't need a screamer/gas guzzler, just a little better than stock. My mods had a minimal effect on my gas mileage. I still get around 20mg on the hwy, and never lower than 19mpg overall.

Thanks for the suggestions, not sure which direction i'm going to take yet. Just had to get a new clutch kit installed so that set me back a bit, and have to figure out a rough idle issue as well.

If you are looking to keep it N/A I would suggest Cams. If you want more, I would just do a supercharger and call it a day.

Might look at cams, want to get a CAI and throttle body for starters. Thanks for the input.

Good quick mod to drop weight and pick up a few hp is an offroad mid pipe.

X pipes give you some high end raspy screaming. H pipes give you some low end grunt and a roaring sound.

Either way, get the cats out of there because the stock pipe is too heavy and restrictive. For under $400 buck you'll get awesome sound, less weight, and more power/torque. Its a good mod that won't mess up anything you may do down the road.

Most bolt-ons for these cars simply don't net you the power gains you'd otherwise be expecting for the money invested. However, a nice set of cams could give you a decent bump in power & would pair nicely with your 3.73 gears. As stated earlier if you really want to make power then forced induction IS the only way to go with these Mod Motors, most everything else is money down the tubes for very small gains.

I agree with restomod66. Only problem is the cams are so expensive and if you're going to make substantial gains with them, you will need to replace the valve springs and degree the cams as well. The project gets pricey and you never get quite as much power as you want for the money. Used blower kits on Craigslist go for the same price as a cam and spring install. If you bolt it on yourself you can make double the power of cams at the same cost.
