what is the best clutch for me to get. I am a weekend warrior, i run slicks when i run, and i am putting about 285-290 to the ground ( i hope ). but anyway i want a good affordable clutch for the money. What do you guys think:shrug:

I have a spec II and it is good. If you are looking for the "Best" you might want to look at a Macleod clutch. They are great but, $$$. Other good brands are centerforce and Ram.

I'm replacing the clutch on the Cobra soon. RIght now I have a CFDF that isn't fully disengaging. I don't want to spend that kind of money on a CF again, so I was looking at the SPEC stage 2.

i have a 96 gt with a 98 cobra 4v swapped with just cold air intake full exhaust pulleys accufab throttle body a little over 300 hp bought a new hays clutch thing grabs hard never slips paid about 4-500 bucks for it.

I would rather get the DFX. I've never heared anything bad about them other than what
svt32vdohc said. I've heared that some people don't like the spec at all and some say they don't last for chit. I'm just saying:shrug: i don't know first hand just something to think aboot

+1
I have a DFX in my cobra putting down a little over 500 at the wheels and it grabs really good, I think it is around $800.

I've heard SPECS have given problems since I typed that. I'm not going that route. I am getting a Ford Motorsport King Cobra. My tuner has installed those in all the 03-04 Cobras and he said they'll hold upto 550RWHP. He said they don't take too many 5K-6K launches, but I'm not doing that. I just run on the street and some track.

I just had a RAM powergrip put into my T45 with new TO bearing, cable, FWA and Quadrant and it feels great, I've put around 100 miles on the thing and it is awesome! I have a couple Boltons and will have enough power to hold up to a blower when I decide on one!
