any brand that you can find off ebay... $200+ is a rediculous number for CAI's

Or a "dry" filter if you prefer.
The CAI's are a waste of time and money.

I agree, I usually buy a K&N but I think a CAI looks a little cleaner then a huge plastic box. You arent going to see any more gains from a CAI then you would from a drop in k&n...you probably wont see any gains either way honestly, you defiantly wont be able to tell any difference.

+1 on the JLT

I have a JLT True CAI on mine. I like it and it does the job. I think i paid $220 for it about 3 years ago for it new. Only took about 20mins to put in.

I have an FIPK (came on the car when I bought it) and I would NOT buy it again. Its a nice CAI system but its a $300+ piece and the JLT is a better fit-and-finish kit for a fraction of the price. With any K&N part, you're spending more on the name than the part itself.

I got the BBK CAI and I like it for the price I paid. It has given me about 2 mpg more, it adds something to the engine bay instead of just the boring black, and it has a cool sound when you hear the air being sucked in at wot.

If you want one go with the JLT but if I was to do it again I would not get a CAI. Now on the s197s they make a big..... difference.

either get a jlt or get the cheap aluminum bbk knock off from american muscle. the bbk one looks slightly nicer but not worth the extra hundred bucks

Cheap eBay intake for the win. Be honest, you are buying it to pretty up the engine bay and trick yourself into thinking you've gained a strong SOTP difference. Don't spend 200+. When my car was still a 4.6 it ran 9 flat 1/8th passes all day long with factory K&N cone intake setup. No need in spending the extra change for a name.
