Best DR's for the price???

It depends. I know lots of people running all kinds of brands.
Most say if it is a daily driver and you only have 1 set of rims get the nitto's the increase in mileage and cost make them the best at a slight reduction in traction at the track.
The Bfg's I've had a set of their DR's and they were good got decent mileage for a DR I guess.
The MT's seem to hook the hardest although they also seem to wear out the fastest.
Guess it depends on what you want/ need in a tire.
As a side note I noticed with my BFG's if I did a burnout they didn't hook as well where as everyone else it does. don't know just something to keep in mind.

I agree with boowfo, I had nittos and bfg's on my 03 cobra and now bfg's on my gt - the bfg's and now mt's will give you better traction but will not last as long as the nittos, the softer tires tend to kick up rocks as well, on the street..

Well the nittos are good for all the time but i love my bfgs just for the track. they hook like a mutha. one of the best things ive done for track. i use a 15" rim though for the DR's IMO its cheaper to get a spare set for track and some others thatll last for a long time on for the daily commute

When you guys buy D/R's do you just get the 2 for the back? Or do you have to buy 4 tires? I've never owned DR's (only all-season radials).
yes, you do just get 2 for the back and it does affect the handling a little....but the increase in traction is worth it !!!
the tirerack.com had has had specials onthe bfg dr's in the past

I have a daily driver with Nitto DR's. They are excellent in the Summer for street driving. Dangerous on wet surfaces. They lose traction easily. I bought them(Nitto) as a compromise for daily riding & going to the track. The traction is fair, the mileage is pretty good. They stay on the car all year. (1 set of tires & wheels 17x8 - 270x40x17). Car is not Winter driven. My rear set of KDW's 255x45x17 are off the wheels collecting dust. Nitto's are probably the best all around for the money. I would buy them again.
