I have had my 2002 GT for about 3 months now, and it is time to make it louder! But with so many choices, I don't know what I want to do. I want that deep, signature Mustang rumble but I don't want it to be too loud. I am leaning towards 40 Series Delta Flows (2 Chamber) with factory H-pipe, but I am considering getting a BBK O/R X-pipe. Let me know what you have and what sounds the best! Thanks.

If you ask me Magnaflow O/R X and Manflow Catback (not magnapack) sound awsome. Im a little biased though.

I heard a stock-ish GT a few weeks ago with a MAC prochamber and SLP loudmouths. Baddest sounding 2V exhaust I have ever heard.

How i figure it, is that im eventually going to get tired of how my exhaust sounds, just like i get tired of anything, so im going to just keep changing stuff when i get tired of it. I've got the stock catback and a upr o/r x and it sounds awesome.

General understanding is that Chambered Muffler and X do not go together well.
Also BBK X is love it or hate it sort of thing. I personaly hated BBK X pipe. biggest wast of my money.

My ppersonal choice would be get magnaflow(if your going to get O/R mid-pipe(PC would be my 1st choice). very nice sound, without being too loud).
But if you have no intention of replacing Midpipe or sticking with catted Mid-pipe, then I would go with Magnapack. Much better(volume wise) then magnaflow when its paired with stock mid or catted. if you match Pack with O/R anything, it'll be too loud

If you want it loud as possible, I'd recommend SLP for the cat-back, I know someone with a aftermarket H and flows and it has the nice deep tone to it, still loud, but not annoying loud.

Im goin through the same debate pretty much, cept I have to get a catback and mid pipe.

Im thinking about UPR X and Flows. Flowmaster tone, X pipe gains... just a little unsure about how thats gonna sound though.

O/r H pipe and Flowmasters sound bad ass aswell for a chambered setup.

For a straight through set of mufflers its hard to beat an o/r X pipe and Magnapacks, or Loudmouth-II's, or 1's if your insane.

My personal favorite is BBK LT's, mrt off rd-h and magnapack c-back. Deep, loud and smooth.

my PERSONAL favorite is well.. of course its my own exhaust system..

SLP LTs, SLP o/r xpipe, Steeda cat-back. It's loud when I get on it, has a deep tone, and doesn't sound like junk lol. I get about the same amount of compliments on the exhaust that I do on the idle

I have those waiting in my living room. I'm hoping to have them put in this week...and I can hardly wait. I'm not so young, and I still don't care.

I have borla stingers on my gt. I really like the sound, they have a nice deep rumble and scream at wot. Also they have a nice tone and arent raspy at all, and you cant beat the fact they are stainless. Id say pass on the o/r midpipe. They lose a lot of tone are really raspy and loud, not to mention not very environmentally friendly. As far as h vs. x pipes, x's are generally raspier and not as deep sounding (although they do provide a slightly higher increase in power over an h pipe). As someone already mention check out www.mustangexhaust.com. When you register for the forums there are tons of sound clips so you can choose based on how things sound to your own ears, and the owner of that site also sells just about any catback/midpipe you could want for pretty good prices.
