I want to eventually put a centrifugal supercharger in my 14 GT. At this point-for starters...I want to upgrade my intake manifold and want to know which one is better for the money? The two I have in mind are either the boss 302 intake or Ford racing intake or are there any other aftermarket intake's that are better than either one? Thanks for any feedback ahead of time.

mpeach1976 i am in the same situation where im looking to upgrade my intake manifold (14 GT) and those are the same options i came about. I too am looking for the pros and cons for both intakes. I would definitely appreciate the specifics/details of each manifold and feedback from anyone that has already upgraded to one of these.

From what I've heard thus far is that either one will add 45 to 50 hp-of course including the tune...not to mention that the boss intake increases your red line to 7800 rpm vs the factory 7000. I started asking on the forum because a buddy of mine said that the boss 302 intake was yesterday's news, but didn't get into specifics. Having said that; I'm now not sure if there is a better intake than the boss on the market. He had also mentioned something about the Shelby intake which I always thought was the Ford racing intake. Haha...I guess I just explained the long version. Can anybody tell us what the best intakes for the buck are for these coyotes.

IMO, if you're shoving air through the motor, the intake isn't quite as critical as it would be on an NA motor. I've got MPR Racing Engines' 1000hp package in my car, and I'm still running the stock intake and throttle body. The most common choices are BOSS and CJ. CJ uses an oval throttle body, and I'm not down with that. Boss might gain a few hp with my setup, but I can think of other more useful ways to spend that money on my car...
