I have a 04 GT convertible and I want to lower it. Who makes the best springs? I don't want to drop it a lot just lower the stance. Do you need to do a bumpsteer or bushings?

depends how much you want to drop. If its just a slight drop for handling i'd say go with the bullitt suspension kit for @350-399. It includes shocks/struts/springs/sway bar. Its a good value. If you want to lower it more then look at Maximum Motorsports or Steeda.

what shock/strut combo is everyone running with H&R Sports? ive got a set thats been sitting in my closet for 4 months, ($125 off of ebay, brand spankin new) just need to upgrade the shocks n struts at the same time. are C/C plates necessary?

I just installed my FRPP C springs two days ago, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I didn't want the "slammed" look nor did I want to sacrifice too much ride quality. For the price, and the fact that they work with the stock shocks/struts, they are hard to beat. I got mine from GEF Racing(cheap plug) for $148 shipped and got them within three days.

I'm running Bilstein HDs with my H&R Supersports. I needed C/C plates (got the Maximum Motorsports). H&R Supersports are very stiff. On good roads they ride like a dream. On rough roads, they ride rough.

I love my setup... :nice:

I'm using the Mach 1 shocks/struts with my H&R SS. For $189 a set you can't go wrong. Been on for 6 months and they still feel good. My first choice would be the Bilsteins of course but when your replacing everything at once, the $$$ can get tight. M/M caster/camber plates are great.

I have an 04 vert too. Originally I installed the Eibach Pro-Kit, I had it on for about 2 months but sold my springs to a friend because I wanted a lower stance than the Pro_kit offers (1.5 inches). Now I have the H&R super sports which lowered the car 2.0 inches in the front and about 1.75" in the rear. I feel that the ride has actually improved over the pro-kit however due to the fact that its lower you have to watch for speed bumps and angled driveways and parking lots. O'well small price to pay for that great stance.

Here's a pic with H&R's
