best Nitrous kit for 98 gt

ok... so i am going Nitrous , my car is a 1998 mustang gt , has 3:73's , and a upr off road x pipe ... so lets say stock ..lol... i think a 75 shot would be good . i need the kit to be as safe as i can get , and i like the Purge Kits so thats got to be in there .....

also dry or wet...
i need the ez'est to install...

any help would be good ..

For a 98, I would recommend a NOS brand dry kit, 05171nos.

i have been looking at NOS kits and there are 2 kits i don't know hich to get.

Which is a better kit for a 98 GT?

forget nos get NX wet kit. ive had 100 shot on my 98 for 3 years now and no prob yet. they also have a cool purge kit also. if your going to do it, do it right the first time

If you go with the NOS kit , I gave you the part number for the dry kit. It is an easy kit and good results for the price.
If not that kit, then get what Blackink00 has, the NX wet, great kit also. I prefer wet kits anyways. It sounds like he wants the look as much or more than the power, thats why I recommended the NOS dry.

very true about dry being the look but if your going to have n2o use it then and if your going to do it, do it right the first time.

I agree about using nitrous.

BTW 98s have a differnt fuel setup and I corrected the PN for the NOS kit.

Also, do not get the NOS Pro fogger kit, not for your car, it starts at 150 hp and goes above 500. There are a couple of those on the car in my avatar.

I changed my post , The part number I listed was for a different year. The type of fuel system determines which kit you use. The 98 GT, as I found out last night does not have the same setup as the 97 GT.

The pre 99 cars have a return fuel system. but it doesnt really matter with the small shots.

As for dry or wet, wet kits inject fuel with the nozzel off the fuel rail. this means you dont have ot worry about taxing out the injectors.

a dry kit does it by injecting only nitrous into the intake, this means you can not have a nitrous backfire.

me personly i would do a wet kit set it at 100hp and you'll be fine. as per what kit should you get they are all kinda the same go with what you like. i like compucar there kits are cheap 399 off ebay come with a nitrous filter and lifetime warrenty on the noids you cant beat it.

my 98 GT has a returnless fuel system on it.. I dont know about yours but mine is different than 97Gt's. I have had many mechanics point that out to me too.

Like some other guys said I would go with a wet kit. You have more flexibility with a wet kit. Dry kits often have lean spikes when the spray first comes on before the computer has time to compensate with more fuel. A wet kit sprays the nitrous and fuel together. As long as you dont go over 150 HP and/or do nitrous burnouts puddling should not be an issue. I have a wide open throttle switch and it has worked fine but a rpm window switch is extra insurance.

Start out with a low shot and work your way up if you want more. I would get at least get it dynoed when you get it installed to ensure your a/f ratio is not lean. Lean = BOOM.

I dont think what brand you go with matters a whole heck of a lot. I have the NOS EFI wet kit.

96-98 have a return system, 99> have returnLESS fuel system.
