To you hardcore drag race guys, or anyone in particular, what oil pan would you reccomend? I need a deep pan to clear my stud girdle (stroker motor), and also to reduce windage by keeping all the oil in the botttom of the pan. I am looking at the canton pro power pan with kickout, but even with my discount I'm still looking at close to $400 with the pickup. Any one have any suggestions. I have heard/read a few things on this pan, mainly some guys have seen up to 25 more crank horsepower. Thoughts?

I think no one has responded yet b/c there is not really a "best" oil pan..any of the top brands (canton, moroso etc) make nice pans. When I went to a stroker, I went with the stock pan and just got a girdle and windage tray that would fit. I added an oil cooler b/c of the extra heat concerns. It works for me b/c mine is a street car. What are your plans for the car? You gave power suggestions but did not mention if it is a street car or if it had drag or road-racing in its future. How you would use the car is important in determining a pan that will suit your needs.

This Milodon pan is nice and has the windage tray built in to the design ($350) -

This Moroso is more of a drag design but does not have the windage built in. It's only $200 though. Let me know if you go that route, I'd sell you a MAC windage tray cheap...

I checked ebay and yes they are cheaper, but its the bottom of the line pan. The one I ordered has a kick out, crank scraper and windage tray. I got it for a decent price, but nowhere near as cheap as ebay. Should work out pretty nicely.
