Best paint for Radiator top?

The paint on the top of my 67 Mustang radiator is in need of help. Whats the best paint for a "do it yourself" re-paint job. Just looking to tape it off and put a nice (until restoration) looking finish on it.

I used some radiator paint from Eastwood. It goes on like laquer--several LIGHT coats. Pretty good stuff.

Is there a Krylon Spray Paint that will work well?

What I had read--and this may be a load--was the "regular" spray paints can be too thick and inhibit heat transfer.

If you use Krylon, I'd get some flat back engine paint and use just enough to cover. I wouldn't use Krylon on the fins as it may clog.

Again, light coats.

just use a really light coat of engine paint on the fins and make the top and bottom look pretty

Is there a Krylon Spray Paint that will work well?

Yes there is in chalkboard black, or gloss, or satin. Krylon Fusion is the best....it says no prep, but on your Mustang I would take the time to clean it up well, but it really bonds well, and is very durable. A lawn chair maybe you just spray it on with no prep, not a car. To save a lot of trouble use a small sponge.....cut it int small shapes to fit every where. Use a brush or tack cloth to get all the dust off before you paint. They are true about light coats, even with a sponge don't worry about getting it all in on coat, paint, let it dry(krylon is only like 12 minutes) then go over what you missed. Good luck.
