Best place to buy gears in Canada?

Hey guys I was wondering where the cheapest place to order gears was in Canada? I was thinking of getting them from AmericanMuscle... but it's $97 to ship here plus I'm sure there will be duty taxes at the border. It comes to about $407 CDN total. However I don't think it comes with bearings.

At themustangshop.ca, with 3.73's ring and pinon, full FRPP install kit, and T-Lok rebuild it's $451.99 CDN minus shipping, but it's in Canada so it will be less. Then I will have to order a Speedcal from 2KoolPerformance.ca and that's another $129.

OR I could order from www.wmsracing.com and get the 3.73 gear package "A complete gear package with everything you need to install gears in your 8.8" rearend. Gears are from Ford Racing - by far the easiest gears to set up - kit includes the pinion nut, crush sleeve, pinion shims, pinion bearing, Mobil 1 Synthetic and a speedo gear." for $349 CDN w/o shipping.

The stuff from theMustangShop is the most complete, but really expensive... What should I do?

heres a place here in ontario www.2koolperformance.com supposed to be the cheapest in canada ,and can price match any parts

Their order system seems strange... Debit via E-mail? My phone is dead I can't even phone there lol. I need to use Credit Card and it's 3% more than the listed prices if you use it... wtf?

Does this kit http://www.americanmuscle.com/speedcal-373-gear-oil-kit.html include pinion nut, crush sleeve, pinion shims, and pinion bearing?

its convenient for me ,cuz i can drive there to get my stuff with the cash......you can do a cash transfer at any bank of montreal they told me to

Seriously a tranny shop or ford dealer? Maybe for the small parts I mentioned but for the gears or speedcal, and royal purple.. I would assume those places would rip you off, I'm installing them myself as well. I'm ordering the gears from 2koolperf. tomorrow. They didn't have the speedcal in stock though so i'll have to wait on that.

Have any Canadian's ordered that gear kit from American Muscle? How much did the total cost come to? I'd like to order everything at once and be done with it.

try amigo's... I got a set of 3:73's out of the front of an 04 (IICR) Explorer for $25 with the posi carrier, I rebuilt it, threw in new bearings and seals and had the whole thing done for under $300

Wow Orange... good call.

Can I call there and just ask if they have any 3.73's out of an 8.8" ford rear end, or would I have to go look around myself?

I called... but I knew one of the "wreckers"... at work they usually take almost 1/2 a day to get back to us... best to go there and ckeck out the tags on the rear or inmy case front diffs...

I'll have to call since I moved home for the summer. I guess I could come in next weekend and if they don't have any I could just stop at Performance Plus and pick some up.

Would used gears increase the chance of having whine if they weren't adjusted exactly as they were previously or no?

I buy everything from the Mustang Shop. I got my FRPP 3.73's from Matt for about $300 or so a few years ago. It is very hard to find anyone that can match the Mustang Shop for Price or Service. You could try http://seanhylandmotorsports.com/. Some people have had problems with their service, I never have.

Well, I ordered the 3.73 gear kit from AmericanMuscle.com. It includes the gears, speedcal and royal purple gear oil. All said and done with a 6% discount (mustangboards) it came to $346.48 USD, so $384.905 CAD which is pretty good I think.

I've been wanting these things forever, I'm very excited .
