I tried to respond, as usual, very thoughtfully. If he had asked for the best, lower priced shocks, I would've replied differently. But he asked for the best shock for the money. I interpretted that as the 'best value'. I think over the long run, the Bilstein's are the best shock for the money -- i.e. - the best value. 

, I just can't. Right now I am unemployed and things are tight, so a budget is even more of an issue. I keep up with the maintenace and this is next on the list of things to do. I drive her daily over some bumps, smooth highways and the such. I am just noticing the bumps more and know it is the shocks going out. I want a slightly better ride than stock. If it rode like the 2003 I would be in heaven.
