I am buying an 01 Cobra and I was wondering what the best short throw would be for it? I had a stedda in my 03 GT which I like but was just wondering if there is anything out that is better in your opinion?

The new MGW shifter is hands down the best shifter on the market...

Oh! Well if you had done a search and it came back successful you would find that everyone agrees the best shifter currently out there right now is the MGW just as missouri_guy197 stated.

i just got mine and its nice.. however, is it normal to be too notchy? ive always had my craptastic stock shifter and just now been spoiled with a short throw... LOL

i find myself shifting slower when racing... :/

My Steeda was notchy on my 03 GT so I suspect its normal

Yes, aftermarket shifters (generally speaking) are going to be more notchy, and louder than the factory POS shifters.

Unless your aftermarket has some type of insulation or sound damping material, it will increase the NVH of the shifter over the stock one.

The MGW may be a little notchy, but it sure is a lot quieter than my Triax was...Probably just as quiet as the stock shifter is...

I currently have a Pro 5.0 in my car. I got a chance to shift a Cobra with the new MGW unit installed. No contest. The MGW is far superior.

mgw, you wont regret it. also go to svt performance and look for a guy thats named cobra bob, he makes gaskets for shifters that actually help reduce the noise. I have one with my mgw and it doesnt make any more noise than the stock unit.
