id consider flowmaster 1 chambers...i heard one today with an shortys, offroad h, and flowmaster 1 chambers that sounded amazing...i could hear it clearly over my dads '70 boss 302 with flow 2 chambers and his car is pretty damn loud. it also didnt sound like the typical 2 chamber flowmaster sound, it was much louder and way more aggressive. dynomax bulletts sound great also, underpressuregt has a vid of them in action. check the sticky in 5.0 talk for clips... theres a spintech one that sounds badass
In my opinion loudest isnt always the best , some people like myself prefer a car that is quiet at low rpms while cruising but sounds badass when you open it up!! If the mufflers are too loud you need your stereo cranked to hear tunes while cruising...

When i had the 302 in my car, i had the 1 chamber flows , shortys, with side exits and offroad H. Loudest and best sounding 5.0 around here. I loved them.

Now with my 466, im going with spintech prostreets and dumps, should be very very very very loud, comes right out of the LT headers, into the spintechs and out the dumps.

Yea, but how many run Flowmaster 40 Series "DELTA" FLOWS??jstang209 said:Every single 5.0 out here has flows... i have an off road h pipe.. i want to sound alot different and louder. .
Seems MOST folks don't know what the hell DELTAS FLOWS are!!
Deltas have the disctinctive Flowmaster sound WITHOUT the dreaded 2k DRONE!! No Drone to speak of PERIOD !!!
I LOVE the way they sound and get compliments on them everywhere I go!
Get DELTAS!! You won't regret it!

I went with 3 chamber. I forget if I got delta or am. thunder? I'll check my reciepts one day. And yeah, I agree with quiet/docile at low RPMs and badass at 3k+ thats why I got the 3 chambered flows.

listened to that sound clip and I really wasn't amazed. Sounds weak IMO. Sorry, to each his own I guess.

Oh yeah, I love Spintech too. I haven'y heard a car sound bad with em ever. They all sound nasty and fast. Saw one vid with a black hatch with some le mans stripes goin down the track. Nearly pooped my pants the first time I heard it. Luckily I made it to the toilet but those spintech sportsmans are pretty badass IMO.

Any Flowmaster muffler sounds good. I love the way my dumped 3-chamber 50 series mated to a BBK off-road H-pipe sound.

i like the sound of flowmasters too, but depending on my mood i usually like my MAGNAFLOW better, its not annoying when your actually inside the car driving but if you get out and walk behind your car it sounds amazing, and it gets loud when you want it to, although just driving around normally still gets you attention. plus its stainless.
by the way i have MAC longtubes, x pipe,
people think i have a big block slammed under the hood, lol

Mac Flowpath's are my personal favorite. I have ran Mac, Flomaster, Superturbo's, afterburnars and Im sure a couple others Im missing. Have Macs and Flows on the same cars for comparison and the MAC always sounds better to me. I have heard a couple soundfiles of spintech and I would like to try those sometime but from what I have personally tested...MAC.87MustangGT5.0 said:The mac flowpath sound good to dont you guys think?

can somebody please explain the difference in chamber. is it just sound? i have the mac catback so what chamber do i have?
I like my Mac exhaust, it's a little different from the common Flowmaster 40 series sound... a little bit louder and more agressive.
From what I understand, the Mac mufflers are a chambered design, like Flowmasters. In Flowmaster's line, the mufflers with the lowest number of chambers are the loudest.

Go to the Spintech website and watch the 5.0 Notch on the dyno. Go through the multimedia site. The vids don't ever seem to work for me in the other format.
Spintech's sound very unique.

If you want a different sound think about getting an X-pipe or a MAC Pro-Chamber. I had an off road Pro-Chamber and switched to the catted H-pipe and it drastically changed the sound of the car. Before it sounded mean and ready to rip. Very unusual sound. Turned a lot of heads. Now it sounds like crap IMO, but Johnny Law is happy that I'm "legal".
I am looking into totally changing my exhaust to a stainless cat-X and catback with FRPP stainless headers. I want that sound back!!! And I want to buy my last exhaust system. I love stainless steel.
