I am looking to do most of the work myself on my car. What I really need is a step by step guide book. I know there are plenty of them out there, but I want everyones opinion on the best (pics etc). Thanks guys!

If you aren't able to find what you want on ebay, you can try this site http://www.helminc.com they are good for OEM service manuals and such, the official stuff. It can be costly, but helpful.

You may want to check out your local bookstore or hot rod shop too. They should have some books like strictly on the engine or tranny alone and how to beef either/or up. They also might have a mustang performance book (not always the best way to go though because alot of ideas are mainstream and safe as in they are the old and tired ideas).

Since i'm not really sure what you want to do with the book, either just fix your car if/when something stops working, or if your looking to fix it up. The service manual with give lots of torque specs and other specs of useful information but may not help with add-on parts (like sub-frames) whereas the other books may give some ideas on doing a professional job. On the reverse, the other books may not give much info other than saying "do it" on the replacing of the bolt on parts (say manifolds to headers) whereas the service manual would give a good decription on how to replace the manifolds (and a very good starting place for the header installation). So depending on what you want to do with the book, those would be your options. It may not be a bad idea to get like 2 or 3 books for the best combo of service and performance. either way, good luck with your efforts.
